First and foremost, a big heartfelt thanks to Kennedy's brother, Deporres, for starting this great journey by writing a letter from a proud brother to his little sister's big idea which became the NerdyGirlz Book Club.

Kennedy's older brother, Deporres Steeples II, was so proud of his little sister Kennedy founding the book club that he wanted others to know about this great accomplishment. 
 
He wrote a letter to Chris King who writes for a paper called The St. Louis American, telling Mr. King about the book club. 
 
Mr. King was so impressed with the letter that he contacted the co-founder, Akiba Thompson for permission to publish the entire letter in his newspaper.
